Keep a unique piece of art as another reminder of just how amazing your body is. Every print is completely unique from the rest, showing faint details specific only to the placenta you and your baby shared. Choose between a simple print using blood from your placenta or a more vibrant print made with India ink where you can select from a beautiful array of colors. For families that are encapsulating their placentas, blood prints are the only option currently available. But I am researching the possibility of food grade paint, so stay tuned!
*It is important to note that each print will be unique in it’s own way. Placentas come in an infinite array of shapes and sizes. Many factors are out of my ability to control such as the age of the placenta, duration and process the birth as well as the amount of time that has passed after the birth. I don’t believe these factors make any one print better or worse necessarily, but these things may affect how a print will turn out. I make several attempts to create what I believe is a satisfactory and beautiful result, but I make no guarantees about a specific outcome. My hope is that each birthing person will be delightfully surprised and intrigued with the artistic variances their placenta contributes to this visual art.
Each print is set with deacidification spray to ensure the quality and preservation for years to come.
